NEW DELHI: Country’s second-largest telecom operator Vodafone India has announced the launch of 4G services in parts of Bengaluru today. The company also said that the roll out will happen in phases and will be completed by March 2016.
Built on a fibre backhaul, Vodafone’s 4G service in Bengaluru is supported by its 3.5G services. With this launch, Vodafone now offers 2G/3G/4G services in Bengaluru. The 4G is launched in 1,800Mhz band which the company won in March 2015 spectrum auction.
Vodafone yesterday launched its 4G services in Mumbai. It has already launched 4G in Kerala and Mysuru in Karnataka, Kolkata and Delhi.
